Thank you again for making this auction a great success. We have been able to secure matching funds from an anonymous donor. That means that the total amount to be donated to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is $2,602!

How will we alert the winners?
At the end of each bidding period, the auction moderator for that period will post the winners for each of the 6 auctions. Read these posts for further instructions.

How will the winners pay, and get what they've won?
All payments will be via PayPal. Our Treasurer extraordinaire, jiminyc, will provide additional payment details when you've won.

Do I have to pay for shipping?
Unless explicitly noted in the auction post, you do NOT have to pay for shipping. That will be covered by the person who donated the item.

What proof can you offer that my money is going to the right place?
At the end of the auctions (June 2), we will be posting screencaps of all the Paypal transactions. These posts will be filtered to the winning bidders only. It is impossible to tamper with Paypal account information--and screencaps are much more difficult to alter in comparison to a text e-mail receipt, at least
(of course, we will blur out people's full names in order to protect their identities).

When all payments have been made, a certified check for the entire donation will be mailed to Cystic
Fibrosis Foundation and a copy of the check (with identifying information removed) will be posted on the
auction website. When CF Foundation sends a receipt for the donation, that will be scanned and posted as
well.

How do I know the money we donate to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is going to research to find a cure?
You can feel good that your donation will be well spent, as nearly 90 cents of every dollar raised by the CF foundation is used to support its vital programs. In 2003, SmartMoney magazine ranked the CF Foundation first among the nation's most efficient health-research charities.

I'm having technical/financial problems at the moment...is there any way I can get an extension to the 1-week donation deadline?
No. All winning bidders MUST make their donations no later than ONE WEEK from the end of the auction, otherwise the piece will go to the next highest bidder. Please, if you plan on donating, please make sure your Paypal account is in proper working order and ready to go.
